Movie story

The story of the film begins in a small village in Bangalore, where Shankutla Devi is born. From the young age of 5 years, people start getting to know about this special talent of Shakuntala. Shakuntala Devi's family is very poor, so her father makes her talent a source of employment. Gradually, as Shakuntala begins to be recognized, there is such misery in her life, which she is never forgotten. Her handicapped sister Sharda succumbs to a lack of money and treatment.

She asks many questions about the modalities of the world. Due to those questions, Shakuntala is angry with her mother till the last stage of her age. The ways of living the life of your appa or father keep haunting him. Shakuntala Devi's life grows up as a boy's entry, which makes her fall in love, but in love, she gets cheated. The same thing changes the life of Shakuntala Devi. After this, Shakuntala Devi reaches London, from where she again takes a new flight.



Shakuntala Devi, who, after reaching London, earns a worldwide name and makes a mistake in calculating even a computer that the entry of life would be a gratification, who is an IAS officer. Shakuntala falls in love with him and then comes into his life with his daughter Anu (Sanya Malhotra). Shakuntala and Paritosh separate and Anu starts living with her mother.

Shakuntala Devi's love for Math and her insistence on keeping her daughter with her always makes her an evil mother in the eyes of Anu and she too gradually starts hating Shakuntala Devi. After studying, Anu's wedding and then the ups and downs will keep the film bound till the end.

Vidya Balan's brilliant comeback

Vidya Balan has filled her life in the character. He has made the journey from young Shakuntala to elderly Shakuntala interesting, exciting, thoughtful. Vidya Balan has made a tremendous comeback onscreen. The story of the film keeps coming in the past, present in a lawn linear manner. All the events keep coming at the right time. The screenplay is written accurately.

Anu Menon's Best Direction

The film is directed by Anu Menon. At the same time, talking about Starcast, it stars Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh, and Jishu Sengupta with Vidya Balan in the lead roles. It is difficult to get off a big personality in a 2 hour and 10-minute film, but Anu Menon has done it well. There are four songs in the film, 3 songs are given by Sunidhi Chauhan and another one is given by Monali Thakur and Baini Dayal. We will give the film 3.5 stars.
