Veteran broadcaster Ameen Sayani, who was honored with many titles like voice of radio, radio king, passed away. He was 91 years old. Ameen Sayani's son Rajil Sayani informed about the death of Ameen Sayani. Ameen Sayani suffered a heart attack at six o'clock on Wednesday morning. After that, he was immediately sent to H.R. He was taken to Reliance Foundation Hospital. However, Ameen Sayani died during treatment. With the passing of Ameen Sayani, there is a sense of loss of an architect of the golden age of radio. The phrase 'Bahnon aur bhaiyo aap sun rahe hai...' in his special voice is still in the hearts of cinema lovers and radio lovers. Relatives informed that Ameen Sayani will be cremated on February 22.



Ameen Sayani was suffering from high blood pressure and other physical ailments due to old age. He was suffering from back pain for the past 12 years. So they had to use a walker while walking. His program 'Binaka Geetmala' on Radio Ceylon and various Bharti channels broke all the parameters of popularity at that time. Every week radio lovers would yearn to hear his voice. Ameen Sayani had voiced nearly 19 thousand jingles. His record was recorded in the 'Limka Book of Records'.




The program 'Gitmala' started on radio in 1952 took Ameen Sayani to the peak of fame. The program was so popular that the radio office received about 65,000 letters for Ameen Sayani every week. This song program initially had only 7 songs. This number was later increased to 16. At that time, Ameen Sayani used to work 12 hours a day. Reminiscing about those days, Ameen Sayani's son said that he never wanted to see his father except on Sundays. He used to be at work in his studio.
