Johnny Lever Reacts to Paresh Rawal’s Exit from Hera Pheri 3: “It Won’t Be the Same Without Him”

alike. The actor, known for his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the
beloved comedy franchise, has reportedly returned his signing amount, sparking
disappointment and controversy.
Johnny Lever Expresses Disappointment Over Paresh Rawal’s Departure
Comedian and actor Johnny Lever, who has been a part of the Hera Pheri franchise, expressed sadness over
Rawal’s decision. In a recent statement, Lever said that Paresh Rawal should reconsider his exit and resolve
the issue through discussion.
“I think he should do the film. They should sit
down and talk it out because fans will truly miss Paresh ji in the movie-it
won’t be the same without him. In my opinion, this is the right thing to do,”
said Johnny Lever.
Legal Battle and Clarification from Paresh Rawal
Rumors had suggested that Paresh Rawal left Hera Pheri 3 due to creative differences.
However, the actor cleared the air on X
(formerly Twitter) on May 25,
stating:
“My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has provided an
appropriate response to the legitimate reasons for my exit. Once they read my
reply, all matters will be clear.”
The actor also returned his signing fee with an additional 15% interest,
making it clear that he had no intention of prolonging the issue unnecessarily.
Akshay Kumar's Production House Takes Legal Action
In a surprising turn, Akshay Kumar’s production company has reportedly filed a ₹25 crore lawsuit against Paresh
Rawal, adding a legal dimension to what started as a creative fallout.
Johnny Lever's Upcoming Film
While speaking on the issue, Johnny Lever is
also busy with his upcoming project Housefull
5, which features a massive star cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar,
Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen
Khan, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri. The film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is scheduled to
release in theaters on June 6.
