Naga Chaitanya Calls Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Trailer "Heartwarming" as Film Gears Up for June 2025 Release

Aamir Khan is all set to make his much-awaited return to the big screen with his upcoming film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, and the recently released trailer has already started winning hearts. The movie, directed by RS Prasanna, tells the emotional story of a troubled basketball coach who is assigned to train a team of intellectually disabled players, leading to a transformative journey of growth, empathy, and acceptance.

Among the many who praised the trailer was Naga Chaitanya, Aamir Khan’s co-star from the 2022 film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Chaitanya shared the trailer and wrote, “This looks lovely Aamir sir… so heartwarming. Best wishes to the entire team.”

About ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’

In ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, Aamir Khan plays Gulshan, a strict and emotionally closed-off basketball coach who, as part of a court order, must coach a group of intellectually challenged young players. Initially resistant and impatient, Gulshan’s time with the team forces him to reevaluate his life, leading to deep emotional change and renewed purpose.

The film stars Genelia Deshmukh as Aamir’s love interest and features a strong supporting cast including Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and several talented young actors portraying the basketball players.

Although the title ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ draws inspiration from Aamir’s 2007 hit ‘Taare Zameen Par’, the film is not a sequel but aims to echo the same spirit of compassion and social awareness.

Aamir Khan’s Comeback Film to Release in June 2025

Aamir Khan was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, the Hindi adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump’, which received mixed reviews upon its release in 2022. Now, with ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, he is expected to deliver a heartfelt performance in a socially relevant story that may strike a chord with audiences once again.

The film is slated for a theatrical release on June 20, 2025, and expectations are already high, thanks to its emotionally powerful theme and compelling performances.

Naga Chaitanya’s Upcoming Projects

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya, who earned praise for his role in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, was last seen in the successful film ‘Thandel’. He is currently working on a mythological thriller tentatively titled ‘NC24’, directed by Karthik Dandu.
