9-year-old Priti Bhattacharjee from Kolkata became the winner in the highly popular 'Superstar Singer' season one on Sony TV. Priti was declared the winner in the Super Finale of Superstar Singer held on Sunday. The decision was taken among the nearly one crore votes cast for the super finale in Mumbai. The winner also received 15 lakh rupees along with the trophy.
Priti Bhattacharjee, Mauli, Sneha Shankar, Harshit Nath, Ankona Mukherjee, and Nishtha Sharma got a chance to reach the grand finale in this show which lasted for 15 weeks. These six contestants also performed together with their team captains Nitin Kumar, Salman Ali Jyothika Tangri, and Sachin Kumar Valmiki. This show has been started to bring the singing talent of children from two to 15 years to the world. Nitin Kumar was voted the best captain of the show.

On this occasion, the trio of the show, Himesh Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik, and Javed Ali along with Laxmikant Pyarelal and Anu Malik were present as special guests. Contestants and their meters performed on the show. Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda of The Kapil Sharma Show also performed.
